Pyrite and Pearl Ring


I love the striations in these rough-cut cubes of pyrite (also known as fool’s gold). Pyrite has been used in jewelry for thousands of years, with archaeologists discovering examples in the ancient civilizations of Greece, Rome and the Incas. This mineral is believed to have a protective quality that shields its wearer from negative energy. This ring is made with pyrite, freshwater pearls and sterling silver. I plan to make some matching earrings soon...
